Compassionate Mental Health Support for Nursing Homes & Hospice Centers

At Mount North, we believe that mental health care should be accessible to everyone, especially older adults who often face unique emotional and psychological challenges. Our specialized geriatric counseling services bring professional, compassionate mental health support directly to residents of nursing homes and hospice centers—and their families.

Too often, the mental health needs of older adults are overlooked or undertreated. We’re here to change that by providing dedicated, on-site counseling that enhances quality of life, supports families through difficult transitions, and fills a critical gap in elder care.

Why Geriatric Mental Health Matters

The Reality

Despite high prevalence of mental health needs, nursing home residents face significant barriers to receiving psychological services: limited on-site specialists, overburdened staff, transportation challenges, and systemic access issues.

The Impact

Untreated mental health conditions seriously impact overall health, quality of life, and wellbeing for older adults. Depression, anxiety, and isolation are not inevitable parts of aging—they can and should be addressed.

The Myths

This population is often overlooked partly due to misconceptions about aging. The golden years should be full of peace, purpose, and growth. We help older adults reclaim these years with professional support.
